The Priority Road Project Extension Project (PRP III) funded by the China Development Bank was initiated to develop almost 250 km of 12 national priority roads. The objective of the Project was to improve mobility of Sri Lanka’s National Highway Network through the rehabilitation of sections of roads selected on a priority basis, thereby facilitating access to vital services and contributing to economic development activities.

MAGA’s scope of work involved rehabilitation and improvement of a 19.8 km stretch of the B445 road from Urapola to Ruwanwella. The scope consists of surface regulation, Asphalt overlaying and surfacing, drainage and shoulder construction, culvert construction, repairs or extensions, bridge construction and repairs to bridges and other structures. The project was successfully concluded and handed over to the employer in May 2017.
