Initiated by Asia Leisure in partnership with Belluna Co. Ltd. Japan, Le Grand Galle is a large 57-room property built on a cliff overlooking the Galle Fort. Designed by PWA architects, the property blends seamlessly with the natural landscape and boasts unspoiled views of the world heritage monument and the Indian ocean.
Completed in 2018, MAGA’s scope of work included construction of the entire superstructure. The property is founded on hard rock strata at ground level and construction work ensured that the nearby coastal environment was protected throughout. Embracing the natural landscape, the hotel follows a ‘without boundaries’ concept, employing environmentally conscious design and construction techniques.
The hotel is now a choice destination on Sri Lanka’s Southern Coast, positioned as an urban resort and lifestyle destination that welcomes a variety of travelers.
